Hello Mystery travelers,
I missed the last link up mainly due to work and shopping and getting ready for Christmas. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas no matter how you spent it. I agree with Bonnie, this time of year is hard for many people. My Christmas was very low key and very different from when my mother was alive. She loved all holidays but especially Christmas. She was like a kid, excited about it all. I have tried to fill her shoes, getting family together, having fun and enjoying each other but each year it gets harder. This year we had a gathering for a Soup Buffet on Christmas Eve. It was wonderful. But that left DH and me alone on Christmas Day. We went to the new Star Wars movie then tried to find a place to eat. Living in Carson City, the casinos are always open but the wait was over thirty minutes at the two we tried. Then I remembered I saw a Chinese restaurant open. So, like A Christmas Story, we had Chinese food for Christmas dinner. Gave us a good laugh and we enjoyed the quiet if different Christmas Day!
Now on to Ringo Lake....... That's it, that's all I have. :-}
I did these for part 4 two weeks ago. Really that's it, two, count 'em two. But I really love the aqua and browns. These may feature in another quilt this year, when I finish this one.
Part 5 is a mere thought waiting to happen. I am going to try several different ways to do flying geese. This is a perfect step to figure out which way gives me the best results. I received my folded corners ruler and will be trying it on the steps I need to finish.
I am hoping part 5 is not the last and that maybe there will be a couple more. I always like the reveal but it always comes to quickly. In the meantime, Happy New Year to all! and click
here to get back to the link up.
Joyfully piecing again!
Terry
